We were on vacation, the first one in about ten years and we wanted to try something different. We talked about a lot of things. Let’s try sushi, go sky diving, bungee jumping! It was fun coming up with ideas. We ended up deciding to try acupuncture in Chicago. We don’t have that around us, while everything else we were thinking of we can do at home.
My mother went first, she was kind of scared. She looked really funny with all of those needles poking out of her back and neck. I took a picture of her, and she looked like a human porcupine! My sister wanted to go afterwards and she looked just as funny. They both said that it felt weird, didn’t hurt at all, which I thought was weird cause they are sticking needles in your skin!
I went next, because my brother said he wasn’t going to let anyone stick a needle into him. He has a fear of needles so we knew that he would back out, but at least he was there to witness us do it. He looked like he was scared every time they stuck a needle in any of us, but we didn’t even flinch!
Afterwards my body honestly felt great. I felt like I had just taken the best nap in the world and my body felt young again. I wish they had this service where I live so I could get it done more often. I told my mother and sister we’ll have to visit Chicago more often just to get acupuncture. They laughed, but agreed with me! We’ll likely have to find a location a lot closer, but we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely do it again!
So if you haven’t tried it yet, you should really give it a try!
